🌍 Our Next Few Months of Adventure: Where We’re Headed and What We’re Most Excited For
We’ve officially traded stability for spontaneity and routine for roaming. Over the next few months, we’ll be hopping across Europe (and a little beyond), exploring new cities, diving into local culture, and cuddling lots of pets along the way. From charming English villages to buzzing Pride celebrations and peaceful coastal towns—here’s a look at our upcoming travel schedule and what we’re looking forward to in each spot:
🇬🇧 Milton Keynes, UK (May 3–13)
We kicked things off in the heart of Buckinghamshire, house sitting and caring for a sweet whippet named Bobbie, plus two mischievous cats. Milton Keynes surprised us with its parks, greenways, and incredibly affordable groceries (yes, we’re still talking about that £56 shop!). We even made a stop at Pink Punters, the local LGBTQ+ nightclub, and loved the welcoming vibes.
🇬🇧 Manchester, UK (May 14–19)
Next up is Manchester—a city rich with LGBTQ+ history, iconic music, and incredible food. We’re planning to explore the Gay Village along Canal Street, check out local art museums, and maybe squeeze in a cheeky drag show or two. Manchester always delivers on personality.
🇫🇷 Paris, France (May 20–22)
Our stop in Paris is short but sweet. We’ll be soaking in as much as we can—morning walks along the Seine, flaky croissants, and sunset views of the Eiffel Tower. We’re treating this as a romantic reset before our rural French retreat.
🇫🇷 Richelieu, France (May 23–June 3)
In the countryside of western France, Richelieu promises peaceful village life. We’ll be house sitting again, which means local markets, fresh produce, and pet cuddles by the fire. It’s the perfect chance to slow down, breathe, and live like locals in a town many tourists miss.
🇬🇧 Tideswell, UK (June 6–22)
Back in the UK—but this time in the Peak District. Tideswell is the kind of quaint English village you see on postcards. Think rolling green hills, stone cottages, and friendly neighbors. We’re excited to explore the trails and cozy pubs between pet-sitting duties.
🇬🇧 Salford, UK (June 25–30)
Just outside Manchester, Salford offers another chance to experience Northern England’s charm. We’re here briefly, but we’re planning to dive into local cafés, explore nearby neighborhoods, and maybe catch some live music before heading to Spain.
🇪🇸 Madrid, Spain – for Pride! (July 2–7)
Madrid Pride is one of the biggest and boldest in the world—and we wouldn’t miss it for anything. Expect glitter, parties, parades, and love in every corner. We’ll be soaking up queer joy with the community and celebrating our love under the Spanish sun.
🇨🇭 Muri, Switzerland (July 17–21)
Nestled in the Swiss countryside, Muri will be a cozy and scenic house sit. We’re looking after a cute cat and turtle while enjoying views of the Alps and the slower pace of rural Switzerland. Expect fondue, lakeside strolls, and fresh mountain air.
🇩🇪 Saxony, Germany (July 22–31)
We’re diving into eastern Germany next, with Saxony’s unique blend of Baroque architecture and contemporary culture. We’re eyeing Dresden, Leipzig, or wherever the house sit leads us. Castles and riverside beer gardens await!
🇬🇧 Axbridge, UK (August 4–13)
Axbridge is a medieval market town in Somerset with cobblestone streets and lots of old-world charm. We’ll be surrounded by history and countryside, perfect for slow mornings and afternoon strolls. It’s giving cozy cottagecore vibes.
🇬🇧 Harrogate, UK (August 15–26)
We’ve heard Harrogate is the spa town to beat. Between dog walks, we’ll be dipping into tea rooms, exploring the Valley Gardens, and checking out the Turkish Baths. We might even sneak in a visit to the local gay bar scene if we’re lucky.
🇩🇪 Berlin, Germany – Folsom Europe! (August 28–Sept 1)
Berlin is electric—and we’re coming for Folsom Europe. From queer art to underground clubs and late-night kebabs, Berlin is a vibe all its own. We’re ready to celebrate freedom, expression, and leather in one of the world’s most progressive cities.
🇦🇱 Tirana & Durrës, Albania (September 1–30)
We’re rounding out the summer with a month in Albania. Expect beach days in Durrës, café culture in Tirana, and plenty of Mediterranean sun. It’s a budget-friendly dream spot for digital nomads, and we’re curious to explore this underrated gem.
